Higher
lift, lower drag—there's no compromise
with bicamber technology applied!
The higher lift coefficient and low
drag of
Bicambered™ airfoils make them an excellent
choice for wings, rudders, and elevators. Carry
a larger payload with higher wing loading, or
reduce wing area to go faster. Lower your fuel
requirements and increase true payload.
More Bite—Less Bark
Bicambered™ airfoils were first tested on experimental
aircraft propellers in 1994. Bicambered™ propellers
have been sold commercially since 1997. They
are quieter, get off the ground faster using
less power and perform in every other respect
as well as, or better than traditional airfoil
propellers.
In addition to drag reduction a secondary benefit
is that higher lift values are possible since
improved air flow produces more lift on the aft
section of the airfoil. Normal airfoils
have their lift center at about 25% of chord. The
Felix Bicambered™ airfoil has a lift center
at about the 35% location.
Bicamber technology has been used since
1994 to improve aircraft products. Applications
could include:
- propeller design
- airplace control surfaces
- airplane rudders and elevators

The benefits, verified by customers, are reduced
noise and increased thrust for take-off. Users
have reported that in addition to less noise
and better take-off, in-flight performance is
better in climb, cruise and top speed; essentially
improved performance in every way. |
